Computer viruses are small software programs that are designed to spread from one computer to another and to interfere with computer operation.

A virus might corrupt or delete data on your computer, use your email program to spread itself to other computers, or even erase everything on your hard disk.<br/>

There are many types of computer viruses<br/><br/><br/>

File virus : Most viruses fall into this category. A virus attaches itself to a file, usually a program file.<br/><br/>

Boot sector virus : These viruses infect floppy and hard drives. The virus program will load first, before the operating system.<br/><br/>

Macro Virus : This is a new type of virus that use an application's own macro programming feature to distribute themselves. Unlike other viruses, macro viruses do not infect programs; they infect documents.<br/><br/>

Virus Hoax : Although there are thousands of viruses discovered each year, there are still some that only exist in the imaginations of the public and the press - known as virus hoaxes.These viruses hoaxes DO NOT EXIST, despite rumor of their creation and distribution.<br/><br/>

A virus can do any things with running programs  on a computer. The actual effect of any particular virus depends on how it was programmed by the person who wrote the virus. Mostly virus damage or remove data from computer<br/><br/>

Hide Files In Picture

You may have used DOS's command line copy method but you might not have know that we can use Copy command to hide our files behind any picture or any other files. The following post will show you how to hide important files behind any picture or wallpaper.<br/>
We will need Win RAR installed for following trick.
<br/><br/>

Create a RAR of files which you have to hide. ex. "my-files.rar".<br/><br/>

Take a picture/wallpaper you want your files to be hidden behind.<br/>

ex. "my-pic.jpeg" Move both files(myfiles.rar and wallpaper) in a temporary folder; say "d:\temp".<br/><br/>

Open command prompt and make your prompt to path "d:\temp>".<br/>

Then type following command Carefully;<br/><br/>

<div class="code">copy /b my-pic.jpeg + my-files.rar output.jpeg</div>  <br/>

and press enter.<br/><br/>

This command will make output.jpeg by combining both my-pic.jpeg and my-files.rar files.<br/><br/>

If you double click on output file it will open the picture associated with it, i.e my-pic.jpeg here, and if you want to open your rar files just open the output files with win-rar application.<br/><br/>

Use Hard Disk as Virtual RAM

By Using this trick you can use a small part of your Hard Disk as Virtual RAM.<br/>
This will Increase your Computer Speed upto 60%.<br/><br/>
Follow the Given Steps<br/><br/>
1. Goto “Properties” of My Computer<br/>
2. Goto Advance Tab<br/>
3. Under “Performance” section click on “Settings” button<br/>
4. Now Move to “Advance” Tab<br/>
5. Under “Virtual memory” Section click on “Change” button<br/>
6. Now Select Drive “C”<br/>
7. Select Option “Custom Size”<br/>
8. Set Initial Size (MB) to 5000 for 5GB 2000 for 2GB or Whatever suitable for you.We will recommend you to keep at least 2000<br/>
9. Set Maximum Size to 5000 for 5GB, this means 5GB of Local Disk C will be used as Virtual Memory. Better keep it as High as You can afford.<br/>
10. Click on “Set” Button<br/>
11. Perform this with all other Drives also<br/>
12. Click on “OK” Button<br/>
13. Again Click on “OK” Button<br/>
14. Again Click on “OK” Button<br/>
15. You will feel the change in your computer speed, once it is restarted.<br/>
